Higher education institutions in Vietnam have embraced opportunities to collaborate internationally to address specific educational needs that have emerged as a result of an accelerated economic and political society. The shift to a global market-driven economy has resulted in the need to produce better prepared graduates, advance in technology, and a shift in teaching and learning practices. Image FIRE, Volume 04, Issue 02 (2017) Shifting Teachers' Perceptions of School Culture in Turkey: A Mixed Methods Study The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of school culture training on teachers' perceptions of school culture. The sample consisted of thirty-six primary, middle, and secondary school teachers working at schools in a large city in South-eastern Turkey. A mixed research methodology was used in the study. A one-group pre- and post-test experimental design was employed in the quantitative strand of the research. Image FIRE, Volume 04, Issue 02 (2017) School Enrolment and Attendance for Children with Disabilities in Kenya: An Examination of Household Survey Data While evidence confirms that children with disabilities face significant obstacles to schooling, especially in low-income countries like Kenya, there is limited empirical research on which to develop policy. The government of Kenya has long neglected the plight of people with disabilities. Despite numerous policy recommendations from the various education commissions, few, if any, have been fully implemented. Despite the rich information that may inform policy, household surveys are an overlooked source of data on children with disabilities. View Item
