A comparison of costs for indexable blade and brazed blade milling cutters

About this Digital Document

The problem which gave rise to the topic of this thesis is the determination of the most economic way to rough mill die blocks. The operation consists of rough milling die blocks used in the forging industry. Open face milling and milling to a shoulder comprise the bulk of the milling operation. These are the two types of milling considered in this thesis.
