This is an interview with Isaura De Ceia, in Bethlehem, PA, conducted by Andrew Krause. In this interview, Isaura discusses her life while living in the Lehigh Valley. She talks about what it was like growing up in South Bethlehem, the ethnic diversity in her neighborhood, her education, her experience working in a sewing mill and then at Champion and how it was working for a union there. She also describes the Southside in the 1940s, the Portuguese community, including the Portuguese Club, what Hellertown was like when she moved there in the 1950s and the Portuguese community there. She describes her experience being a member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church, and also talks about her husband, children, and grandchildren. Lastly, Isaura describes how she believes the Lehigh Valley has changed over the years, particularly the transporation and culture of the area.
