Abstract

The overall goal of this project is to investigate the role of epigenetics in the regeneration of the model organism, Nematostella vectensis. This model organism has emerged as an ideal system to study regeneration since it has the ability to fully regenerate after bisection.

Overall Hypothesis: Delta promotes cellular differentiation and the cleavage of its intracellular unit and the translocation of it into the nucleus is necessary for differentiation.
