Tests for determining minimum sample size for superiority comparisons of prior tested items

Superiority comparison tests are used to demonstrate, with some predetermined confidence, that a modified lot is superior to the original rejected lot. This paper describes a modified test which is directed to the problem of reducing total expected cost while making the superiority comparison.
