Abstract

The submarine soils in Oslofjorden, from Osle almost to Fuglehuk Fyr, was in 1963-64 by the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute investigated attempting to combine geology, geophysics, and geotechnology in an integrated area. The objective of this paper is to describe and discuss the soils in each of the four basins, and to summarize the changes in the principal properties of the Oslofjorden soils from basin to basin along the axis of the fjord.
