Abstract

Structurally, the Martinsburg Formation in the Susquehanna and Lehigh Rivers is high deformed. The formation is overturned throught the Lebanon Valley and is thought to be part of an extensive nappe. Small structures are difficult to define because of the chaotic stratigraphy but individual outcrops commonly show small scale faults and folds and well developed cleavage.
