Abstract

This paper treats the subject of manufacturing costs in an N stage stochastic manufacturing process. The direct hours an employee works on a stage and the stage yield are considered to be random variables in a general cost model. The problem of theoretically determining the probability density functions for the cost of each stage is discussed.
