Abstract

The behavior of the steel in various conditions include thin section base plate material water quenched and tempered, air cooled and tempered, and furnace cooled and tempered as well as coarse grained heat affected zone. The susceptibility to temper embrittlement of a single heat of 2.25% Cr - 1% Mo steel was studied.
