Abstract

Thin films of lead deposited by the photolytic decomposition of adsorbed tetraethyllead vapors have been investigated. The nucleation and growth of the photodeposited lead films were found to be similar to other vapor deposited and sputtered films. The films were crystalline with an island structure formed by the coalescence and growth of descrete lead particles.
