Abstract

The effects of the shape of the power jet nozzle and of the Reynolds number on the development of an incompressible turbulent jet flowing over a circular wall were investigated. It was found that the nozzle shape has an important effect on the development of the total pressure profiles of the jet. Three-dimensional effects were observed to be severe and some of them were Reynolds number dependent.
