Abstract

The problem of constructing an optimal schedule or sequence, given that there are n jobs and m machines, has been intensively studied by many investigators. This paper presents an analysis of the effects on the optimum sequence of changing the time of a single operation after an optimal schedule has been determined but before the schedule has actually commenced.
