Abstract

This thesis concerns the development of an equivalent circuit model and the associated theory necessary to characterize the interdigital gap capacitor throughout the frequency range. The results of this study show that the interdigital gap capacitor can be approximated as a lumped series capacitor for frequencies, where the capacitor digit length is less than 2% of a wave length.
