The propagation in rectangular waveguides containing slabs having finite condustivity is investigated theoretically. The waveguide is assumed to be lossless and of infintie length. the slabs are parallel to the narrow walls and extend over their full height and length. They have arbitrary thickness, dielectric constant and conductivity.
