Abstract

The subject of this paper is an algorithm of L. Cesari to determinethe existence of an exact periodic solution of a system of nonlinear differential equations. The method consists of examining a normed linear space of periodic functions, to which a solution may belong. The basic assumptions about the differential system are shown to imply the existence of a fixed point of the operator.
