Abstract

It is the aim of this study to present a significant aspect of the adoption of the Constitution which has not previously been explored to any great extent. We shall be concerned here with the military or defense side of the problem as seen through the activities and writings of one of the yourng republic's most constructive critics: Alexander Hamilton.
