Abstract

Obtaining design data for high temperature applications is complicated when the structure is subject to thermal cycling. The possible effects of thermal cycling may be especially severe if they occur rapicly in service. There is a definite need for high temperature fatigue testing equipment which can perform tests both at constant temperature and with fluctuating temperature.
