Abstract

Interest in Prologue to the Legend of Good Women has not stopped with aesthetic appreciation, and several scholars have felt that the Prologue is not merely delightful poetic fiction, but also a historical allegory which Chaucer wrote to compliment contemporary figures of the Court.
