The purpose of this report is to investigate the phenomenon in hydraulic models known as “scale effect”. Scale Effect arises from the inability to obtain complete similitude between the model and the prototype. Incomplete geometric similitude is a result of the difficulty of obtaining the proper ratio between model and prototype roughness.
