About this Image
The trustees of Lehigh University and the Barnett Scholars hereby commenmorate the generous gifts and bequest of Jack Barnett '54 which established the keystone of the university's financial aid program, the Barnett Scholarship. A full scholarship recipient himself, Jack Barnett '54 used his talents and hard work to achieve a highly successful career with The First Manhattan Company. Believing the education he received at Lehigh was most responsible for this success, Mr. Barnett expressed his gratitude by establishing a scholarship fund, which became Lehigh's largest upon his untimely death in 1979.
