The photograph has no caption or writing to identify the location. It is obvious that it is a ""waterworks"" building and the gentlemen's attire suggest that it is circa 1890-1900. There are some undergraduate theses written in that time period and published student articles describing the waterworks in Bethlehem and South Bethlehem but none of these publications have any exterior photograph of the structure, and unfortunately, neither one of the Bethlehem waterworks exists today.

Ammonium bisulfate (ABS) is an acidic deposit that can form on the metal elements of air preheaters in power boilers, leading to unit operational issues. As a byproduct of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems for nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions control, ABS could result in unit efficiency deterioration, even unit outage. ABS formation temperature is an important factor in controlling the issues associated with ABS fouling problems. If the ABS formation temperature could be monitored, the ABS deposition location could be identified.

A look at the production activities of Bethlehem Steel during World War II, especially its role as a manufacturer of wartime machinery and supplies. Includes discussion of labor/management problems of the time, detailing the workers' struggle for the creation of a union and the strike of 1941, the role of women working at the Bethlehem Steel, as well as interviews with former employees.

Annotation: Provides commentary from members of the Lehigh-Pocono Community of Concern (LEPOCO), a peace and justice organization founded in 1965. Members discuss their thoughts and experiences relative to their participation in the organization and its activities, including peace vigils and non-violent resistance. LEPOCO members in the video include Nancy Tate, Robert Daniels II, Fran Dreisbach, and Addison Bross. This short documentary was produced during the 2009 four-day Lehigh University/SouthSide Film Festival workshop.

Provides commentary from Darlene Heller, Director, Bethlehem Planning Bureau, and local business owner Andy Po, owner of Homebase Skate Shop, on the development and potential uses of the South Bethlehem Greenway. Rail service along the land now occupied by the greenway came to a halt early in the 21st century and the city of Bethlehem, Pa. subsequently purchased approximately 2.5 miles of the former rail bed from Norfolk Southern Corporation. The greenway is anticipated to provide additional recreational, transportation, and educational opportunities to the citizens of Bethlehem.

Former steelworker Richie Check reflects on his experiences, and the experiences of others during the rise and fall of Bethlehem Steel. Check emphasizes the worker's attitudes about work and community, emotionally describing the value of the relationships and the quality of life enjoyed by the workers. Includes external and interior views of the former Bethlehem Steel property in 2007. This short documentary was produced by students in Lehigh University's 2007 history course, Documentary Video.
