Originally from Scranton, Pa., Chase was employed by the Erie Railroad Company prior to serving his country in Korea. Image Beyond Steel Lehigh Canal : an HCRS project report This report, prepared by the Heritage Conservation and Recreation Service, presents recommendations for the revitalization along the Lehigh Canal for the purpose of "cultural and recreational" trails as well as economic stimulation for adjacent communities. A study of the canal and its resources was performed in order to better understand how to revitalize the recreational use along the canal and the surrounding communities. Myrna was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Bethlehem, PA. She started working as a secretary while still in High School and went on to have a thirty-three-year career at Bethlehem Steel, in Human Resources and the Mining Department. Patricia, her father, and her husband all worked at Bethlehem Steel. Patricia grew up in Catasaqua, PA and attended a co-operative training program at Catasaqua High School, which led to her employment as an office worker at Bethlehem Steel. She discusses her layoff in the late 1970s as well as her husband's layoff in the 1980s and her subsequent re-hire by Bethlehem Steel. Beyond Steel From Steel to Sands: Capital Exploitation Annotation: Provides an insight to the perceived exploitation of workers by The Bethlehem Steel Corporation and The Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
